Best Court Trial I Ever Read

Karpal sedition trial: Reporter says she does not know Karpal's political party
By YENG AI CHUN

KUALA LUMPUR: There was a sense of disbelief in court Friday morning when a reporter said she did not know the political party which Karpal Singh belonged to.

RTM reporter Eliani Mazlan, 26, who took the witness stand on the third day of Karpal’s sedition trial, during cross-examination by Jagdeep Singh Deo.

Jagdeep: Do you know which party is Karpal Singh from?

Eliani : I am not sure.

Karpal who was also present, could not help smiling in amusement when she said that.

Jagdeep then proceeded to ask her if she was a voter. She said she was.
Jagdeep turned to the court and said “You cannot be a Penangnite,” drawing laughter from everyone. Karpal was alleged to have uttered seditious words against the Sultan of Perak at his legal firm in Jalan Pudu Lama between 12pm and 12.30pm on Feb 6.

Earlier, Jagdeep asked Eliani if she knew who Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was.
She replied that he was PKR president.

Jagdeep: Do you know PKR is part of a bigger party?

Eliani: I am not sure.

Jagdeep: Have you heard of Pakatan Rakyat? There are other component parties in Pakatan
Rakyat. Do you remember?

Eliani: (silence)

Jagdeep: There is PKR, DAP and PAS. That is Pakatan Rakyat. You do remember that Pakatan Rakyat won five states in the previous general election and there was a political tsunami. Agree?

Eliani: Agree

Jagdeep pointed out that even though Karpal and Anwar are from the same party, Karpal has his own views about party hopping.

Jagdeep: So we can summarise that Karpal is not one who behaves personally but is with principles.

Eliani: I am not sure.

Jagdeep: I would suggest that is the reality of Karpal.

The witness who was only two months into her job when she went for the media conference in Feb, also told the court that she was not sure of the term ultra vires.
During the barrage of questions, Jagdeep asked her if she was sure Karpal said he would sue the Sultan.

Jagdeep: At page four, paragraph two of the video transcript, Karpal said: “In fact, I’ve stated very clearly that ‘we’ will sue the Sultan together with the new State Government as defendants if they persist. Are you sure? Karpal said he would sue the Sultan? What does it say?

Eliani: We.

Jagdeep: It is not I.

Eliani: But it could mean himself.

Jagdeep: We could mean I? Is that what you are trying to say? What was said in the transcript?

Eliani: We.

Jagdeep: So you agree that ‘we’ is not ‘I’?

Eliani: Yes.

Jagdeep: You agree that your understanding is completely a misunderstanding?

Eliani: I am not sure.

What Say You ??

Alright. I think I am just officially meet the most dumb ass people that I ever came across IN MY F**KING LIFE. And guess what? He is a "DR" with no brain and yes he is a lecturer in my stupid university. Well according to him, he is an expert and he is good in fixing people's problem which I don't think so. (he can't even make students love him)

Well you may argue that I should not challenge a lecturer and I should come here and learn. But, at points in time, you just got to think as well. Is not that I am trying to act smart but rather I have brain to think.

Last semester was the first time I met him, and besides the "F" bomb he drop to me and being strict in the class. There was not much problems.

But this semester he get way too much and I've decided to call him a Fucking ASSHOLE. Anyway he has been famous for that name.... Just that I only started to recognised and accept his new name.
*p/s: he dropped me another F Bomb during my presentation. I was pretty piss as well because he keep on interupting my presentation until I lost my momentum. and guess what, he skip almost 50% of my slides and my presentation. I ended up score 59%

Okay he is very rude all the time (with all his rude words in class) and I guess he must have low EQ for sure. Well not everyone has high EQ, so just forget about that. Now, lets talk about his IQ. Having ridiculous requirements in the assignment ??? eg. a paper envelope and plastic envelope.....
*P/s: please be reminded that he is a lecturer with "DR" title ...

Well, I just finished that particular assignment on Tuesday and YES it is my fault that I should have bought the plastic envelope as "requested by him".... earlier...
but the thing is that what is the bug fuss of it of using a paper envelope instead of a plastic envelope. Is cheaper, more professional and environmental friendly =)

Of course, I never plan to challenge him. But he really somehow get on my nerves.
If he want to penalise me in the first place. Why do him even bother to ask me to write him an email to explain why.... BLOODY IDIOT. (giving a chance on surface then shoot me with a Bazooka?)

Anyway there are way too much to write about him and I am gonna stop RIGHT HERE. Stop thinking about him cos i dun wan to b gay =D

=X
LOL

So, now. The ultimate question.

If you are the lecturer and you received an assignment in the paper envelope instead of plastic envelope. What will be your respond??

Joke of The Day

Well another joke. This was shown by my housemate which got me so addicted to it.
Is just so funny that I had watching this for like 3 times straight.

The video was taken by some NTU student I believe who study circuit engineering or something. The lecturer earlier on seems to promise them that he (the lecturer) will provide them some entertainment in the lecture.

So here's the entertainment that he promised to give. Enjoy! =)

Just for Laughs =D

Well, I just received a forwarded email from a friend and I think it is something that should be shared =)
Well I don't really know how true it is but hey is just for laughs
XD

....................****************....................................

According to the email, a kampung (village) known as Bekenu in Miri, Sarawak finally has it's very own Malaysian "Starbucks" ... errrrrmm....

dot dot dot...

However, it is not really spell as Starbucks you know ....
It is spell as
"SETARBAK" instead
yeah...
So is called as Setarbak Kopi
=D

Cool right?

Well, to get the ultimate laugh.... You will need to read until the end of this post...

So please stay with me. hehe

The Starbucks Coffee we know is a lifestyle based kind of business and is franchised. Best, they provide nice environment and free WiFi for it's customers. The price of the coffee in Starbucks Malaysia is considered as quite pricey as well "lah" for majority of Malaysians particularly.

But now, Malaysians particularly Bekenu villagers can finally afford to taste their very own Malaysian made coffee with considerable afforable price and environment in Bekenu. =X

Look closely:

Hint: Look at the left of the photo
Just in-case if you don't know what that shop is. It is a shop that carve the coffin or memmorial stone for the malays or muslims in Malaysia.
Have a nice day =)

The Gathering

Recently Felicia just came back to Perth again.

Reminds me a lot of my first few weeks memmories in Perth. When I just arrived Perth, I was practically alone. I was very fortunate to be able to make friends with Felicia and Sathya on my first day. And guess what... Just moments after we met, we actually went to the city with bus without map or any gadgets ....
very brave hor?
LOL
Within that 2 weeks also, we had make a lot of friends and the group is expanding. Imagine 1 big group of people going for groceries together, eat together and play together. Is so crazy and fun.
Those were the days.
Well, this gathering was actually hapened on Thursday night and yes I just came back from the Swan Valley trip. I still remember that I fall asleep in Carousel while waiting for everyone (I am too early).
LOL

So that night, Felicia bought us each a present. I got a Polo Shirt =)
We had the famous Chao Italia pizza also that night before we went to The Maud Cafe.

Then at The Maud Cafe, I ordered an English Big Breakfast Set as my dinner as I think it is the most worth value set I can find on the menu. Well this is the second time I had Big English Breakfast Set for my dinner ....
sounds so wrong.... breakfast set for dinner....
LOL
Anyway the first time was at Fast Eddy a housemate's gathering/farewell for Sharon -
Also a farewell gathering ...
This is the gathering photo we took at The Maud Cafe:

The Gathering =)

Just in case you don't know how the English Big Breakfast Set looks like .....

It comes along with juice and tea plus main dish

Looks good right? haha

- Quote of the day -

"The value of an education ... is not the learning of many facts, but the training of the mind to think about things that cannot be learned from textbooks."
- Albert Einstein. 1921.
Commenting on Thomas Edison's opinions
that a college education is useless.

I damn love this. Because it reminds me some of my lecturers are trying their best to do so but they failed horribly. Some of them even mentioned in the class about their philosophy and quotations from some "ancient" philosophers.

I bet that this lecturer til date would mention some quote like "many are schooled but only a few are educated".

So, he try his "own way" of teaching which often bring students to a cross-road or Bermuda Triangle rather than what he said as "guide". When the students are lost, he would definitely be the last to call for help as he will tell you to solve your own problem as he believe solving your own problem is "learning".

Well, I can't say he is wrong. But, I am just suggesting that he should not lead us to a land of nowhere in the first place. But, I don't think he will agree with what I said here, because to him that is his definition of learning.

Anyone would like to contribute any arguments?

Please feel free to do so at the comments section. ^^

Dissatisfaction

Lately, some issue has been really bothering me both physically and mentally. Is kinda hard for me to laugh nowadays. Everytime I get myself to study or doing something related to my course, I will get angry and is getting really annoying and it starts to really pissing me off.

First of all I am really regretful with my decision of staying in this BS course structure which they had designed for me. I should had withdrawn from all these units because these are not really something I want to study. Yes, I love Information Systems (IS), but not these shitty management things. Is not that I am not interested in management units but somehow I have been bombarded too much with all these units.

Units that I am taking this semester includes "Business System Management" which talks about IT Services, "Business Problem Analysis" which talks about problem solving and analysis (which is a total crap especially on the first assignment), "Management of Technological Innovation" which talks about managing technological products and get them to the market (is an entrepreneurship unit, is quite interesting but I don't get the point why the hell I am studying this) and lastly "Business Applications" which talks about Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and practising using SAP System (This is the only unit that I am really comfortable studying).

Why am I getting so frustrated and annoyed? Well, it all started 3 weeks ago after I attended the carrier fair. That's the time I found out what I am studying right now is completely BS and what is being demanded out there is although you are a IS grad you will still need at least some programming knowledge and hopefully some networking and database management skill as well.
But somehow, my course structure has no programming unit, no database unit and no networking unit. Worse of all, NO Information System Project (ISP) unit.

ISP is one of the unit compulsory for all IS students and guess what? I am not being arranged to study that unit. Well, although I had tried to apply the professional practice program it seems like most likely I would not be able to get it due to my course structure which don't have programming unit. Anyway, let's just hope I will get it for now.

Within this period of time, some of my friends had gave me their advises like what you study right now doesn't means that you will get this related field of study you may ended up be a cashier or sales person. Is true, but the idea is that why the hell I need to travel so far away and paying so much for studying something that I don't like and is not marketable? This is a complete waste of time and money and other resources that I had to put into to obtain a "No Value" degree.

argh....
